As the name suggests, it is used to control the flow of current into and out of battery. Solar controllers prevent the batteries from undergoing conditions such as overcharging and undercharging.

 

Inverter

As the electricity generated from the solar panels is a Direct Current (DC), it has to be converted to AC or alternating current to run the appliances. This converter is nothing but an inverter.
